Tom Bostelle never made much of his long list of exhibitions, but in a career that stretched back to the 1930s, he had quite a few moments in the spotlight. He worked with -- and sometimes in spite of -- a long list of gallery owners. Some carried his work for years. Some ran afoul of him and walked away. Bostelle honestly didn't care.
